John’s Carrot Cake

An 18x24 acrylic on canvas painting created in 2024 in memory of my late grandfather, John Hill. My grandfather taught me many valuable lessons, tangible and intangible. He taught me to drive, change a tire, pump gas, play Sudoku, play golf, and much more. Most importantly, he valued the art of cooking and intended to pass down his skills to my brothers and me. His favorite recipe was a carrot cake he made competitively.
